The saplings are harvested in the winter months, when the sap is ?down"; insuring that the natural bark will adhere to the piece indefinitely. The saplings are then kiln dried, treated for insects, and then steam bent into shapes and assembled into sturdy chairs, tables, beds, and more, all the while keeping their natural bark rustic appearance.
